Our shell jewelry is made from real, local seashells. These shells have been cleaned and a clear coating has been placed on them for protection. Here are some things to keep in mind when caring for our shell jewelry.

Do:

• Keep away from other objects or jewelry that could cause scratches. Ideally, our seashell jewelry should be kept in a jewelry box with a soft lining, fabric pouches, or within a soft cloth

• Clean with a soft cloth or take to a professional jeweler to have them cleaned with dustless polishing brushes.

Dont:

• Frequent sun exposure can sun bleach shells. Avoid storing them where there is constant sun exposure.

• We suggest avoiding wearing your shell jewelry when using cleaning products or entering chlorinated pools or hot tubs since these can damage your jewelry.

• Do not apply makeup, lotions, or perfumes while wearing these. After applying these products, you should wait until they are dry to put on your jewelry.

• Avoid wearing during exercise.

• Do not clean with polish or cleaning solutions. Also do not clean in an ultrasonic machine.
