Currently, the shells we are making jewelry with are found in and around North Topsail Beach. We don’t buy our shells. All the shells used in our jewelry are found by us as we scour the local beaches. Follow us on our socials if you want to see more pictures of the beach and our shelling adventures.
Who we are
R&N Custom Jewelry and Repair is owned by Rob and Nicole Oakley. Our love for the beach started when we got married in 2010 on the beach in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. After that, anytime we planned vacations, our main focus was getting back to the ocean. After multiple vacations to Emerald Isle, NC, we decided we didn’t want to go back to the snow and cold and relocated to Sneads Ferry, NC. After living in the snow and cold for decades, we finally made our dream come true of living at the beach.
Rob found his love for jewelry design in high school and has been a professional jeweler for over 20 years.
